Isaac, weary and in pain from his ordeals, traveled through a small market-town on his mule, escorted by two yeomen. Exhausted, he sought refuge at the home of Nathan Ben Israel, a Jewish Rabbi and physician, who urged him to rest and recover, but Isaac insisted on continuing his journey to Templestowe, driven by the urgent need to save his daughter.
